Show Day is Taking Shape

Set in the stunning Blickling Park, the Aylsham Show 2023 will be jam-packed with lots of things to see and do this August Bank Holiday Monday. Here are just some of the attractions that will be here, with more to come.

Moto Stunts International Displays

Watch the spectacular Moto Stunts International as they jump ramps and perform formation tricks in the Main Ring. This Event is kindly sponsored by Larking Gowen, Norfolk and Barratt & Cooke, Norwich

Heavy Horses Display

Meet these magnificent gentle giants and discover how they are kept in show winning condition. See them in the Main Ring. This Event is kindly sponsored by B & C Farming Ltd, Marsham

Dog Scurry

For any type of dog, not just gundogs - so have some fun and see if your dog can retrieve and behave.

Circus

Circus Ferrel and their eye catching Big Top are back with more family friendly fun! The talented team will be entertaining everyone with bite sized live shows throughout the day. No two performances will be the same so drop in again to enjoy even more exciting circus acts! This area is kindly sponsored by Upp, John and Valerie Watts.

Dog agility

Get ready for fast and furious dog agility action and bring along your canine friends to watch.

Kings Lynn & District Fur & Feather society

The Society is essentially a Fancy Pigeon Club these days having a history of Poultry and Rabbits too. We have members from all over East Anglia and beyond. There is an annual show at Log Sutton and we are pleased to be at the Aylsham Show in 2023. It is essentially a shop window to the public showing off what small livestock and in particular Fancy Pigeons can offer as a hobby. New members are welcome.

Main Ring Line Up

At the heart of the Show, the Main Ring will host a dramatic line up including The 75th Show Pageant, The Tigers Army Parachute Display Team, Heavy Horses Turnout Display, Driving Classes, Pony Club Mounted Games, the Moto-Stunt International Display Team, HOH Equestrian Display, Fancy Dress, Childrens Sack Race and Tug of War.

Countryside Ring Line Up

The Countryside Ring will showcase entertaining displays including Wills Spaniels, Nar Valley Bloodhounds, Dog and Sheep Show, Falconry, Flyfishing, Military Vehicles, Classic Cars, Starting Handle Club.

Calling All Children!

Do your kids enjoy taking centre stage? Then these Main Ring competitions let them take part in the Show.
Tug of War

Children can take part in the Tug of War in the Main Ring - start time 5.15pm. Always fun to watch with family and friends and a unique ending to Show Day. This Event is kindly sponsored by Dewing Grain Ltd, Aylsham

Fancy Dress

Entry to the Show’s ever-popular fancy dress competition is free and individuals and groups are welcome, mounted or on foot. This will take place in the Main Ring - start time 12.10pm. This event is kindly sponsored by The Scott Family of Colby. The Walter Gay Cup was presented to The Potts Family with Wind in the Willows who won the Mounted Section, and Twaddy, Spider Knight won the Unmounted Section.

Sack Race

Get ready to run as fast as you can and be in with a chance of winning the famous Aylsham Show sack race, now back in the Main Ring for 2023 - start time 2.45pm. This Event is kindly sponsored by Black Sheep Ltd, Marsham.

Exhibitions and Sideshows

Explore all the Show has to offer from food and fairground rides to classic cars and craft.

Food Hall and Cookery Theatre

Taste delicious local produce and see inspiring cookery demonstrations at the lakeside food area, which includes an adjoining catering and picnic area. The Food Hall is kindly sponsored by Savills (UK) Ltd, Norwich and the Cookery Theatre is kindly sponsored by Arnold Keys LLP, Norwich and Aylsham.

Rural Crafts Area

Buy unique local crafts and see the makers at work, from basket maker to blacksmith, and pottery to chainsaw artist.

Horses and Livestock

Watch the competitions for prize-winning showjumping, show horses, cattle, sheep and goats at the relevant livestock rings.
