An Aylsham Show afternoon tea party was held in the gardens of the Hall on the Salle Estate, the home of Sir John W White Bt, on Sunday 9th July 2023.
David Hitcham, Event Co-ordinator, said that about 110 people attended the Event which was a thank you to the Show Sponsors of whom 60 were in attendance and whose loyal and valuable support is so vital to the ongoing success of the Show. Members of the Show Council also attended.
The weather held up well and everybody was able to thoroughly enjoy the occasion and the lovely gardens.
Roger Long, Show President, welcomed all of the guests, and gave sincere thanks to Sir John, and to all of the Show Sponsors, and particularly those who sponsored the actual Event – Arnolds Keys LLP, Barratt & Cooke, BirkettsLLP, Dewing Grain, M R Ellis (Timber) Ltd and East Coast College. He also praised all of the 36 local charitable organisations who had benefitted from donations totalling £15000 from the 2022 Show, who do such sterling work within our local communities.
Refreshments were extremely well provided by Wendy Graves, Wallace Bars, Danns Ice Cream and Caffe Capri.
The Event also celebrated the fact that 2023 will be the 75th Aylsham Show and the photo shows David Hitcham sporting the new Show tie which will be on sale at the Show for £15.
