We’ve put together some of the sideshows and attractions that we know are always popular with families! Don’t be mistaken – these aren’t just for kids – we’re sure some adults will have just as much fun trying out their balance on a slackline or visiting the funfair!
Take a moment to see what the Show has to offer families this year; there’s so much to see it’s easy to miss out on something that will make your family’s day.
For some interactive fun don’t forget to enter our children’s fancy dress competition in the main ring!
The family funfair offers all the traditional fun of the fair to people of all ages! Take a break from the main ring and marquees and try your hand at traditional games and rides.
Don’t forget to visit the Worstead spinners sideshow to see more of the history of the famous Worstead cloth. Perfect for kids to try their hand at spinning and working with wonderful wool!
Little Jumpers started business in April 2014 and runs a successful family bouncy castle business in the Norfolk and Suffolk areas. Each year new inflatables are added to their range.
The tractor that they are bringing to the Show is a tribute to their granddad Dick Bailey who passed in 2017 and was a local farmer.
Punch and Judy Show
Professor Philip’s has been performing at the Aylsham Show with his Punch and Judy for the last 20 years which is normally situated near the fairground organ.
Always a favourite with children and adults alike.
We are an ambitious archery club catering for all ages and abilities. Our main base is at Fakenham Sports centre, a.k.a. The Gallow, by the Racecourse off Hempton Road. We meet there on Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoon throughout the summer. During the winter (between changes of clock!) we shoot indoors at Fakenham Sports & Fitness Centre, Trap Lane. This is probably the best indoor venue in Norfolk and we are always pleased to welcome visiting archers to shoot with us.
We are a competitive club of over 60 members, but we love to have fun too, and sharing good food plays an important part in our programme. We love to encourage new archers and give tuition to those who want to try the sport and to groups who want an archery experience.
During the year we organise 4 major tournaments, two with World Record Status and the other two with UK Record Status. We also attend events like the Aylsham Show to encourage people to try the sport we love and to boost our funds.
