We’re hiring! We’re looking for an Assistant Show and Association Administrator to join our team to make the famous Aylsham Show as fabulous as ever.
About the Show
The Aylsham Agricultural Show is held at Blickling Park near Aylsham on August Bank Holiday Monday each year.
We showcase farming and rural life and give 18,000 show-goers a wonderful day out. Plus, each year we donate surplus money we make on Show day (usually £50,000) to charities benefiting the community in and around Aylsham.
About the role
As Assistant Show and Association Administrator (with potential to progress to Administrator) you will help Aylsham Agricultural Show Association (AASA) plan and run the Show and our other activities through the year. This role is an average of 7 hours a week with flexibility to work on days and at times required
You will work closely with AASA Chairman, our Show Administrator, Showground Manager and heads of various parts of the Show, our wonderful volunteers, contractors and service providers. You will be involved in many practical tasks that make the Show a success including ordering equipment, co-ordinating people, programmes, communications, etc.
Skills needed for role include:
- outstanding organisational skills
- a keen eye for detail
- at ease working with, and supporting, volunteers
- engaging and enthusiastic
- understanding of rural affairs and agricultural shows
- a creative and entrepreneurial mindset
